Fund Raising Progress
In October (2011) the Pender Development Fund submitted financial documents demonstrating the Fund's ability to complete the proposed Chapel. The Department of Correction has approved the Pender Development Fund to begin construction as soon as a lease for the property can be drawn up. This is a significant achievement, however, work remains to be done.
While we have raised enough money to begin construction, we still need to raise an additional approximately $10,000 to furnish that building with chairs, tables, a sound system and other furnishings.
